Our lives are constantly on the move. We make a living, we get fed, housed, and cared for by the animals that we care about. As we are creatures of habit, so are our actions. We can’t help but try to follow the herd, and as a result, we can end up harming ourselves and others.
We are what make the world go around. A lot of what we do is motivated by habit: we get up in the morning and we make to get somewhere. We take a shower, we eat, we eat, we eat, and we repeat.
We spend our entire lives being shaped by the things we do, and the things we don’t. We make a living, we get fed, housed, and cared for by the animals that we care about. Animals are what make the world go around. A lot of what we do is motivated by habit we get up in the morning and we make to get somewhere. We take a shower, we eat, we eat, we eat, and we repeat.
You can be an animal-loving vegan or vegetarian or even a “wildlife enthusiast” and still gain some form of animal welfare. Just like you can be a vegetarian, a vegan, or a hunter-gatherer and still gain some form of animal welfare.
Of course you can. As long as you’re not a pooch, you can be an animal-loving vegan, vegetarian, or wildlife enthusiast. The problem is that you might be the kind of animal-loving vegan, vegetarian, or wildlife enthusiast that is only interested in the animals that live on your dinner plate. The kind of vegan or vegetarian that only eats meat is a vegan or vegetarian that does not care about the animals that live on your dinner plate.
If you have the time to devote to a vegan diet, don’t you want to also eat meat? Well, yes. But the truth is that you can eat a vegan diet without caring about the animals that live on your dinner plate. You just have to stop watching the news, because, honestly, you don’t really care.
So, if you dont care about animals, why do you watch the news? Not because you think the government is out to get you, but because you dont have a choice. You have to do what these news anchors tell you, or there is no news.
If you dont care about animals, you will eat a vegan diet without caring about the animals that live on your dinner plate. But most people choose to only watch the news because it’s easier than asking for your money. Most news on television does not discuss the issue of animal cruelty. It treats it as a bad thing to do to animals. We are constantly bombarded with images of people’s pets, but we are not forced to choose whether or not we want to see those images.
The problem is that as long as you can’t see what you are eating, you are in control of what you are eating. Because if you can see what you are eating (which most people can), then you can go out and buy those expensive meats and eggs you love so much. That will change though. If you are unable to see what you are eating, then you are helpless. You are not able to make a conscious decision about how you are going to eat.
You can read more about how the author would address this problem in our own article The Four Pillars of Health (HERE). Basically, the more you know about nutrition, the more you can decide on whether or not you want to see those images. And you can choose to ignore the problem altogether. And the more you ignore the problem, the more you are going to be stuck in a vicious cycle where you are depriving yourself and then you are depriving others of nutrients.
