The lyrics to the David Bowie song “High” say it all. Kurt Cobain was a talented musician and talented person in his early thirties. He was also one of the most talented musicians ever. The only problem was that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Although he was able to overcome and move forward in his life, he could not overcome the mental illness that was a result of it.
In the end, Cobain’s bipolar disorder became more than a medical diagnosis. It came to be a lifelong battle, a battle to live with for the rest of his life. We all have the capacity to live with mental illness, but unfortunately, those with the most severe illness, like Cobain’s, have the most difficulty in dealing with the illness.
I’ve been in the mental health field since I was 17, and even though I’m still a relatively young (28) person, I see the mental illness in myself and my family. I see it, I see the families who suffer the same illness, and I see the parents who want to keep their kids away from the mental health field. I’m not here to tell you that you should take your own children to go see a doctor.
Mental illness is a complex and multifactorial illness. A lot of stuff happens when a person experiences severe illness, and a lot of it can be detrimental to their ability to fully function. It is not that a person can never recover from a mental illness. But if they start to get their mental health system into disarray, the likelihood of them regaining their full mental health is extremely slim.
The idea of the Mental Health Act in the United States is that it is the federal government’s responsibility to ensure that all Americans with mental illness have access to mental health care. The first step is to have a national definition of mental illness, which is something the federal government has done in the form of the definition of severe mental illness. From there, the federal government will begin to fund and fund research into the causes and methods of mental illness.
So who gets to determine what mental health is? A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine last year found that only about half of Americans think that mental health is something that can be defined by the government. The federal government has tried to give the definition of mental health to the states, but that does not seem to be the case.
Although there is some confusion about how many different kinds of mental illness there are, it is true that there are more than 100 types of mental illness. There are also many different types of mental health issues, and there are many kinds of mental illness. What is not known is which kind of mental illness someone has. For example, someone with bipolar disorder might experience manic or depressive episodes, but they might also have suicidal thoughts or be easily distracted.
The answer to the question “What kind of mental illness do I have?” is not one that can be determined by simple labels. It is a complex, multi-layered field of study that requires multiple disciplines, including psychology, psychiatry, and neurobiology. There is no one-size-fits-all diagnostic label.
A person might have bipolar disorder, a severe case of obsessive-compulsive disorder, a severe case of depression, or a severe case of schizophrenia, but these are certainly not the only reasons why you might have symptoms. It is also possible to be diagnosed with something like an anxiety disorder, a mania disorder, or psychosis.
