I am not a big fan of alcohol, and this article is geared towards people that are. Alcohol consumption is one of the biggest dangers to our health and well being, and is the reason we have so many diseases including heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, and liver disease.
The first step to improving your health is to understand how alcohol affects you. This is something I learned the hard way. I was living in New York City in 2012 and decided to go out with a friend and see what it was like to get drunk. We were all extremely intoxicated, and I could hardly keep up. We ended up in this bar, where the first thing we did after a few drinks was to go back to our hotel room and start drinking again.
It’s one thing to get drunk and then find yourself unable to think or move. That’s a very natural result of alcohol damage. It’s a whole other thing to have a hangover, and not realize it.
Thats what we did to ourselves. Instead of taking care of our bodies, we just started having more fun. Its not like we were dead. We weren’t even dying, but we were not doing the most important things in life. We were just having too much fun.
As we all know, the best thing you can do to avoid alcohol is to abstain from drinking. But for some, that means they have to quit drinking for a while. This can be difficult, often requiring some form of detox. Some people find these treatments, or detoxing programs, to be an extreme challenge, and that’s not to say they shouldn’t try such things.
I can’t tell you how many people have asked me about detoxing. Many of the programs I’ve seen require someone to abstain from alcohol for a few weeks or months, and it can be challenging to find ways to get people who use alcohol to abstain, or to find a program that works for people. Sometimes it’s easier for them to drink than to abstain. In my experience, it’s best to find a way to do both.
I personally have a friend who detoxed for a few years. For her it was easy, she had a lot of support, and it was easy to maintain her sobriety. For others, it can be a real challenge. For me, I had to try my best to keep it from getting out of control, even though I knew if I let it get out of control it was going to destroy me.
I have a friend who I think has a really hard time keeping her drinking under control. She says she has a lot of anxiety about it and she is very stressed out. I have never seen anyone as stressed and anxious about their drinking as her. It’s really depressing to think about, and it’s pretty easy to understand why. She drinks a lot. She has a huge collection.
That’s the thing about trying to control your drinking. It’s extremely difficult to do. What makes it even more difficult is that you have no idea why you’re doing it. You just do it and it doesn’t even feel like you’re doing it. When you try to stop drinking, if you stop drinking, you feel like you haven’t achieved anything.
The good news is that with the right amount of willpower, you can learn to control it. The best way to do that is to learn to say no, to say its not okay, to just stop. Once youve learnt to say no, then you can try to control your drinking in a few different ways. One easy way is to stop drinking before you start drinking again. Another is to learn to say no to someone youre not interested in and focus on being alone.
